SBI4U: Biology, Grade 12, University Preparation

SBI4U Biology is a university preparation course focusing on the concepts and processes in biological systems. The course covers biochemistry, metabolic processes, molecular genetics, homeostasis, and population dynamics.  

Ideal for students who want to pursue careers in life sciences with jobs like biochemists, microbiologists, or zoologists, SBI4U provides the necessary skills and knowledge to meet university entrance requirements.

SCH4U: Chemistry, Grade 12, University Preparation

SCH4U Chemistry is a university preparation course focusing on the importance of chemistry in everyday life. Students study organic chemistry, the structure and properties of matter, energy changes and rates of reaction, equilibrium in chemical systems, and electrochemistry. 

Ideal for students who want to pursue careers in chemistry with jobs like chemical engineers, forensic scientists, or pharmacologists, SCH4U develops the necessary skills to meet university entrance requirements.

SCH4C Chemistry is a college preparation course that develops data collection and analysis skills. Students study matter and qualitative analysis, organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and chemical calculations. 

Ideal for students who want to pursue careers in chemistry with jobs like chemical technicians, medical assistants, or food science technicians, SCH4C provides students with a solid foundation for college.

SES4U Earth and Space Science is a university preparation course focusing on understanding Earth and its place in the universe. Students study the Earth’s materials, its internal and surficial processes, and geological history.

SBI4C provides a broad knowledge base and is beneficial for students who want to pursue careers in several fields including, science, engineering, education, and business.

SNC4M: Science, Grade 12, University/College Preparation

SNC4M Science is a university preparation course that increases student’s understanding of social and environmental issues in health-related fields. Students explore medical technologies, pathogens and disease, nutritional science, public health issues, and biotechnology.

SNC4M is beneficial for students pursuing postsecondary programs in and outside the sciences.

Prerequisite: Science, Grade 10, Academic, or any Grade 11 university or college preparation course.

SNC4E: Science, Grade 12, Workplace Preparation

SNC4E Science courses provides students with the knowledge and workplace skills to prepare them for success. Students explore hazards in the workplace, chemicals in consumer products, disease prevention, electricity at home and work, and nutritional science.

SNC4E emphasizes current topics and relevant, practical activities making it beneficial for any career choice.

Prerequisite: Grade10 Science, Applied, or Grade10 (LDCC) course in science.
