Certificates are a great way to show universities, colleges, and employers that you are interested in a specialized area and have gone above and beyond to become an expert in that field. Certificates also look great on post-secondary applications, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles!

Fine Arts Certificate.
For those interested in art.
This certificate is designed for students with an interest in various forms of art (visual, media, fashion, photography, etc.). Students looking to apply to a post-secondary program in these fields may already require some of these courses for admission; the additional courses in the focus area will help bolster their application. Many art programs require students to submit a portfolio as part of the admissions process. Through these completed courses, students will have ample opportunity to curate a strong portfolio and continuously update it. This certificate is also available for students who are not interested in studying art at the post-secondary level but simply want to explore their artistic abilities.

The Fine Arts Certificate requires students to complete any four (4) courses from the following: Music (AMU1O), Media Arts (ASM2O), Fashion and Textile Design (AWI2O), Visual Arts (AVI3M), Photography (AWQ3M), Visual Arts (AVI4M), Photography (AWQ4M), or Drama (ADA4M).

Students applying to a post-secondary program in the STEM fields may already require some of these courses for admission; the additional courses in the focus area will help bolster their application. The certificate is also available for students who are not interested in studying STEM fields at the post-secondary level but simply want to learn more about in-demand topics such as computer programming, animation, scientific innovation, and mathematical problem-solving.

Students looking for part-time jobs in a related field will also benefit by demonstrating their commitment to studying the area of interest from multiple perspectives.

Ready to receive your certificate?
To be eligible for the certificate, students must complete all required courses at Blyth Academy Online (other Blyth campuses do not apply) and courses must achieve a passing grade (50% or higher). Students must email copies of all relevant course final report cards to certificates@blythacademyonline.com. The courses can be completed over any period of time.
