Blyth Academy Waterloo Celebrates National Child Day

On November 20th, 2018, Blyth Academy Waterloo celebrated National Child Day with our neighbour the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation.

National Child Day is about celebrating our youth as active participants in their own lives and in our community. It is about recognizing that our children are active citizens who can and should meaningfully contribute to decision-making.

This year, Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation spent time with our students and had them participate in a brainstorming session about philanthropy aimed at youth. The students shared their ideas and provided input into how the Foundation can support philanthropy in a way that matters to them.

It was a great day for all!
