About Our Campus
Blyth Academy The Glebe
Blyth Academy The Glebe is a flourishing private high school conveniently located in Lansdowne Park, on Bank Street surrounded by modern amenities, 40-acres of urban park, including the Rideau Canal, and vibrant all-ages entertainment complex. Steps away is the TD Place Stadium and Arena complex where our student-athletes from the Ottawa 67’s practice and compete.
Our Ottawa campus is a school of 135 students. This allows us to be personally in touch with every individual, yet large enough to offer a broad range of courses. Our experienced guidance counsellors work regularly with each student to prepare them for post-secondary and beyond.
When combined with first-class care and supportive, expert teaching, wonderful things happen and our students flourish.

Message From the Principal
At Blyth Academy The Glebe, we take pride in our watching our students thrive. Our team of teachers and Guidance Counsellors are experts at thinking outside of the box, delivering enriching and engaging content, and helping students connect the curriculum to real-life. We develop accommodating schedules and deliver outstanding educational opportunities that take full advantage of the unique location of our school and the partnerships that we have forged in our neighbourhood.
With all of this, we aim to not only prepare our students for the challenges of post-secondary education but for life. I invite you to come in and experience our relaxed, engaging environment and discuss with me or one of our guidance counsellors how we can help your child thrive.

What Makes Our Campus Unique?
Blyth Academy The Glebe follows the Ministry curriculum guidelines, with the advantage of small class sizes and experiential learning, connecting the curriculum to real-life. Beginning in Grade 9, students benefit from four terms per year, with two subjects per term. Grades 9 and 10 students focus on two academic subjects in the morning, followed by a very active LaunchPad Program to build study and life skills. At our new The Glebe campus, students focus on two subjects per term, allowing for high levels of flexibility in scheduling. Individualized guidance support begins at Grade 9. In addition, our flexible academic schedule makes us the preferred school for many elite athletes in the Ottawa area.
Our teachers are committed to inspiring young minds.
And nurturing academic growth.
Meet Graham Howard, a dedicated educator and an integral part of The Glebe campus since 2016. Graham teaches a variety of social science and business courses, leads the Student Council, and drives our collaboration with the Downie Wenjack Foundation. A true gentleman and a favorite among all, his commitment to fostering an engaging and dynamic learning environment is truly remarkable.
Leaders who defy limits.
And inspire success.
Introducing new Heads of Department for mathematics, science, English, and instruction. By leading the way, they are ready to drive curriculum development, mentor staff, and promote exemplary teaching practices for student growth.
Our students care for the future.
Setting the standard for sustainability education.
Blyth Academy is a part of Globeducate's group-wide commitment to creating eco-friendly schools. All Blyth Academy campuses have achieved Certified Eco School status, and our Etobicoke, Burlington, and Lawrence Park campuses have reached Gold Certification through initiatives supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
We empower future stars.
Providing educational opportunities for talented players.
We are thrilled to partner with our esteemed neighbours, the Ottawa 67's! Together, we are opening up a world of academic opportunities for their talented players. It fills us with immense pride to welcome a group of 67's players into our vibrant community each year, where they can learn side by side with our exceptional students and work towards achieving their academic goals. As part of this collaboration, our students are also given the incredible chance to cheer on our beloved 67's at some of their home games. In addition, we are grateful to be able to host our graduation ceremony on the iconic TD Place field each year, and see all our graduates smiling faces on the jumbotron
Campus News
This year, Blyth Academy The Glebe was recognized by Globeducate as Canada’s Top School of the Year. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, talent and support of the amazing staff in Ottawa and the families who trust them to take care of their children every year.
It is no wonder that Blyth Academy The Glebe science teacher, Mr. Boudreau’s, earliest influence was Bill Nye the Science Guy. Much like the beloved tv scientist, Mr. Boudreau is passionate about, well, science. With a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience he is qualified in biology, chemistry, physics, and math and he brings the same amount of enthusiasm to each high school subject.
