Small Class Sizes

Our classes have an average size of 12 students, allowing teachers to spend significant individualized time with each student. There’s no “back row” in classrooms this small. Students are more comfortable speaking up in this environment.

Four-Term Structure

We’ve been running quadmesters for over 10 years with great success. This four-term structure focuses on two subjects per term, promoting a deeper understanding of subjects in addition to creating the flexibility for students to join Blyth Academy at any term during the school year.

Robust University Preparation

Preparation for post-secondary education is the primary focus with increased attention on critical thinking, interpreting information, independent learning, and active participation in classes and activities. Our strong guidance department works with each student to define their pathway.

Term by Term Options

We have four intake periods during our school year to make starting at Blyth Academy as flexible as possible (September, November, February, April). This is possible due to our quadmester structure (four terms) which allows for flexibility for students who want to try us out or who are looking for extra credits in a gap year.

Nicole Nowak

Grade 12 Student

Post high school I am going into the Health Sciences program. After I finish my Health Sciences I want to go into medical school so I can become a surgeon. Being in my senior year of my high school education, it was important to both my parents and I that I was in an environment that allowed me to thrive academically.

“Nothing comes easy, it takes a lot of hard work, determination and perseverance to end up where you dream to be”

- Nicole's Father

Blyth Academy has given me the opportunity to integrate myself with peers whom have pushed me, and subsequently gave me life long friendships. The education provided at Blyth has gotten me accepted into all health, medical, and life science programs I applied to. It is to the educators at Blyth I thank, who gave me their time and effort to succeed. Blyth Academy is a school I would highly recommend to anyone whom seeks recommendation.

Blyth was just what we needed. My son struggled to get a quality education that was built around his strengths. He had average grades before Blyth but never felt heard or successful. Doing his final year at Blyth Academy gave him the desire to learn, which allowed him his choice of post-secondary schools. He worked hard because he was inspired by the staff. He was free from distraction and received the attention that fostered his learning. Blyth was the investment we made in our sons future.Trish Ronan, Parent

Our daughter has thrived during her Blyth ‎experience. We most appreciate the tailored approach that was supported for her term by term curriculum selection. The smaller class sizes encourage more meaningful discussions and foster an intimate solidarity that generates optimal results for each student. We appreciate the personalized updates that ‎keep us connected on progress. Blyth is simply the best ‎choice for a caring, enriching and customized learning plan.Michelle Penman, Parent

Enrolling our daughter at the Mississauga campus for grade 11 and 12 was the wisest choice we could make as parents to invest in the future of our child. Our child was able to grow intellectually and emotionally, being mentored by excellent teachers who were her role models and inspired her to grow academically to the best of her potential.Kapka Petrov, Parent
