They would feel the class environment is welcoming to everybody regardless of the differences students have. It is an environment where kids feel safe, supported, encouraged to share their ideas, which enables my students to develop self-esteem, respect for themselves, and for others.

Last year during the Graduation Ceremony when our Valedictorian was giving her speech, she pronounced my name as her inspiring teacher who encouraged and supported her to get into Life Sciences although she never saw her as a science person. Her speech was so sentimental for me and once again it proved how important it is to be passionate about what I have been doing as a teacher.

Being a teacher gives an opportunity to make a difference to your students by inspiring, supporting, encouraging them to reach their fullest potential. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing my students succeed in life.
