Being Brilliant in Model UN
Our Lawrence Park Model UN team recently participated in a conference put on by the University of Toronto. Our delegates participated in several debates covering important topics such as cybersecurity, climate change, indigenous rights, and global tourism. Our MUN team would like to extend a thank you to the UoT organizers and we look forward to returning next year!

Currently on my Bookshelf
Two things that I love are history and reading, and one of my favourite things to do is to read classic novels written in centuries gone by. When COVID first hit, I read “A Journal of the Plague Year’ by Daniel Defoe. The book is a fictional account of one of the many plague outbreaks in England in the 17th century. Needless to say, we’ve come a long way in terms of health and hygiene, but the general views on survival, illness, and hope stand the test of time. More recently, though, I read Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I love the Bronte sisters, and especially liked this novel because of how it challenged Victorian morality.
