Blyth Academy and the National Hockey League Team Up Again to Empower BIPOC Student-Athletes with Hockey Equality Scholarships

For the second year in a row, we are thrilled to announce that we have carefully selected five exceptional student-athletes to receive our highly esteemed Hockey Equality scholarship. This full-ride scholarship provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these talented individuals to receive top-notch private education and elite hockey training at our Downsview Park School for Elite Athletes for the upcoming 2023-24 school year.

In partnership with the National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA), this exclusive program aims to nurture and empower young BIPOC athletes, giving them the chance to further develop their skills and reach their full potential in the world of hockey. The selected students will have the privilege of training under the guidance of experienced coaches and mentors, who will provide them with invaluable expertise and support throughout their journey.

By joining our Hockey Equality scholarship program, these exceptional student athletes will not only excel in their athletic pursuits, but they will also have the opportunity to thrive academically. Our flexible schedules and carefully crafted curriculum ensure that they receive a well-rounded education, with a focus on academic excellence and personal growth. They will be able to balance their passion for hockey with their commitment to their studies, creating a harmonious and enriching learning environment.

We are incredibly proud to be a part of this unique partnership with the NHLPA, as it allows us to provide these talented young individuals with an unparalleled opportunity to pursue their dreams. Together, we are breaking barriers and promoting inclusivity in the world of sports, ensuring that every deserving student athlete has the chance to succeed.
