If you are not already familiar with us, I invite you to come visit and see, firsthand, the amazing opportunities we have to offer student-athletes.
As Principal, I am personally committed to ensuring our students build a strong foundation in their academic and life skills, before embarking on post-secondary education and beyond. Together, with my remarkable faculty, we maintain close and consistent communication with the students, families, and coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to overall student success.
Principal, Blyth Academy @ CIHA
What Makes Our Campus Unique?
Students at Blyth Academy@CIHA have the advantage of a completely integrated academic and athletic program. Their ice and off-ice training are built into their daily school schedule and the teaching staff work closely with the coaching staff to ensure every student’s success. Students can walk a few steps from their dormitory to eat breakfast in the cafeteria, and then a few steps further and they are inside the arena, which houses the school, ice rinks, fitness center, fully equipped therapy room, dressing rooms, dry rooms, and a pro shop.
What our Families are Saying
Having tried both private and public schools for the duration of my two children’s education, by far private education offers the student more choice, more guidance and more stability in the programming. Blyth is an example of this type of exceptional learning environment. Blyth offers very convenient and flexible scheduling for the high school student and makes use of this time to help the students transition into the university/college type of independent learning.Parent
Our son has returned to us with a mature outlook on life and his future. We always knew he would grow while away but we didn’t expect to have a young man returned to us! We thank you all for that.Nicole Vasquez, Parent
Blyth Academy teachers and administration are highly respectful of the student’s academic and personal needs. This is apparent right from the beginning and lasts until after graduation. With this kind of atmosphere, students respond positively and it is natural that they are motivated to do their very best.Parent
On Oct 6th the students participated in a Terry Fox event. A group of students ran the 5km course with Ms. Kelly and Coach Andre, while the others walked around Rockland.
On our first Wellness Wednesday we focused on developing awareness of the ongoing issues faced by Indigenous communities across Canada.
