Salute Max.
Found supportive teachers and a pathway to higher ed.

Max is a part of the unofficial ping pong team in the student lounge at Blyth Academy Etobicoke. And as any good paddler knows, to do well in table tennis you need a good stance to return whatever comes your way – the same way his teachers and guidance counsellor are setting him up for post-secondary success.

The small class sizes and high teacher engagement at Blyth Academy make it much easier for me to learn and succeed.  The more hands-on education style fits how I learn. There is also more than enough support to ensure that I can pursue higher education.”

With an academic goal of maintaining an 80 per cent average or higher this year, Max takes advantage of the one-on-one support that’s offered in each class. Less students in the classroom opens more time for teachers to spend with each student.

During class, I will often go over any questions I have with my teacher about any given lessons, assignments, or units and my teachers are able to cater to my specific strengths and weaknesses.”

Being accountable for his academics and seeking the support he needs is giving him the best possible start in his senior years of high school while preparing him for life in post-secondary.

At Blyth Academy, I have become more responsible and have a much better relationship with academics. If someone isn’t getting the support they need from another school or feels like they need to be part of more of a community, they should consider Blyth Academy.”
