Our program combines
the richness of the mountainous Monteverde Cloud Forest with
the dazzling northwest coastline and the Pacific. Each day
will offer opportunities to work with children, painting and
building schools or assisting in environmental projects.
Monteverde
Our Costa Rican adventure will begin in the valley just beyond
the Monteverde Cloud Forest. We will explore Costa Rica’s
natural history and rural culture as we immerse ourselves
in this magical country. Local resources will help us explore
and come to understand what is needed to conserve this fragile
ecosystem. We will help in plantings and maintaining trails
through the parklands.
Playas del
Coco
The second part of the program will be spent at our residence
Villas located in Playas del Coco, a colourful little fishing
village in the province of Guanacaste on the North Pacific
Coast. The village we are staying in is set in a deep cove
with a long beach of calm waters. Our work will focus on an
orphanage in Santa Cruz and a local school in Liberia, as
well as clean-up work on the beaches on Guanacaste.
Our Play
Work has its rewards! Afternoons will be spent exploring the
beaches, sunbathing, surfing or scuba diving.
