OUR WORK
Aloha Aina, Malama Aina, Malama Ohana: love of the land, care
of the land and care of one’s family are
the fundamental backbones of Hawaiian culture. This makes
Hawaii a perfect place to get involved in community initiatives. Students can participate in a broad
variety of community-service work in Hawaii, which will address
issues of poverty through illiteracy, substance abuse, invasive
plant species, and landfill space. Our community-service projects
offer a well-rounded education on the challenging issues affecting
the Hawaiian Islands and the people who inhabit them.
OUR PLAY
Hanging out on white sand beaches and playing in the warm
Pacific ocean is just one way we will relax at the end of
our workday. From surfing to snorkelling to hiking and sunbathing,
we will experience everything this island paradise has to
offer. Our Hawaiian adventure will culminate in one of Hawaii's
most traditional events, the Luau, where we will celebrate
the end of our work in the region by eating traditional foods
and enjoying Polynesian dancing and entertainment well into
the evening.
