BURSARIES

• This year, we are happy to be offering bursaries worth $500 - $1,000 for our Africa projects and $250 for our Cuba summer project.

• Bursaries will be awarded based on:

  1. Demonstration of financial need.
     
  2. Demonstration that the applicant has something exceptional to offer the project.

For the second criterion, applicants must address the project they are registered for specifically (e.g., "What is it you bring that will help what we do as part of the Ethiopia project, which is different from what we do in Tanzania?")

FUNDRAISING

NEW! Our Fundraising Package is now available! It includes:

• A letter from Jaason verifying that volunteers are raising funds for a legitimate cause.
• A sample/guide for writing a personal letter, which volunteers can send to personal contacts and businesses asking for donations.
• A guide with strategies and examples of different ways to raise funds.

Fundraising can be very effective - One volunteer raised $4,500 for her Africa trip last summer! The package will be sent out upon request after volunteers have registered. Please contact Alexandra at alexandra@blytheducation.com.
