Blyth Academy is a private secondary school committed to a student focused environment and strong results. The school serves students of the GTA through its Yorkville and Thornhill campuses, offering full-time, part-time and private courses. Blyth Academy also offers summer courses abroad through 'Blyth International Summers,’ and community service programs through ‘The View Foundation.’

Blyth Academy offers a full range of Grade 9, 10 and 11 & 12 U-level courses in core subjects including Maths, Sciences, Arts, Business, History, Languages, Physical Education and the Humanities.   Most of our full-time students take two courses per term (each term is 10.5 weeks) and it’s possible to register for both Term 3 and Term 4, with students finishing up by Friday June 20, 2008.

Sam Blyth M.A.(Cantab) was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge and the University of Paris.

He has taught at the Ecole St. Louis de Gonzague in Paris and at Blyth Academy-International and in Canada for over 30 years.He has written frequently for the Globe and Mail and the National Post and lectured widely around Canada and the United States.

He chairs the Cambridge University Scholarship Fund in Canada and interviews for Pembroke College, Cambridge. He teaches careers and provides guidance to students at both Blyth Academies.

Zero-Footprint Seal: Blyth Academy Thornhill is proud to be the first school in Canada stamped with the Zero Footprint Seal. Beyond waste reduction and our endorsement of environmental awareness, this seal signifies two Blyth Academy achievements:       1) That the natural resources used to create and run our school are being restored to the environment in the appropriate portions.       2) That the carbon dioxide emissions associated with our school are also being mitigated through carbon offsetting.
