Amazon and the Galapagos Islands

This program is the ultimate outdoor educational experience, combining three of the world’s great natural wonders: the Andes mountain range, the Amazon rainforest, and the Galapagos Islands.

We will begin in Quito, the capital of Ecuador and a UNESCO World Heritage Site founded amongst the ruins of an ancient Incan city. Here we will be awed by the incredible architecture and stunning views of the surrounding Andes.

Next, we fly to the Galapagos Islands and board our ship for three spectacular days of swimming with sea lions and visiting with iguanas. Our adventure continues with some island hopping from Santa Cruz to San Cristobal, with its volcanic formations, incredible wildlife and daring landscapes.

We then travel to the Amazon with a stop in Papallacta to bathe in the famous hot springs. From there, we continue on to Casa del Suizo, a secluded eco-lodge in the rainforest, to spend our days hiking under the forest canopy and playing in the Napo River.

Our program will conclude with a stay in the heart of Ecuador at a beautiful hacienda in the foothills of the Andes. Here we will explore the natural wonders of the area and then have a farewell mariachi party by the lake!
